This is very exciting news, Jodie! I am really looking forward to your book! It's about time us duck collectors had book of some kind. As far as I'm concerned, there can't be enough books about rubber duckies!

> Dear Fellow Rubber Duck Collectors,

> I'm writing a book about our sunny little friends which will be published by Running Press in early 2004. It's a small book and will be packaged with a rubber duck. Of course, it'll have wide distribution as it's a Running Press title and one in a series. Other titles have been devoted to Slinky and the Magic Eight Ball.

> The book will include a history of rubber ducks, highlight manufacturers old and new, and then delve into rubber ducks in pop culture, the collecting phenomenon, etc. Sidebars will feature all sorts of fun facts figures, and did-you-knows.

> I'd love to hear from you rubber duck lovers about your collections. Things like:

> How did you get started collecting?
> Where do you find ducks?
> Which are your favorites and why?
> What is the most you've paid for a rubber duck?
> Have any stories about going to great lengths to find/buy a duck? How do you house/display your rubber ducks? How many do you have? How do you limit your collection? (i.e. does this include anything that has to do with rubber ducks? Do you collect Donalds?) What do your family and friends say (or think!) about your collection? What is it about rubber ducks that intrigues you? What do they mean to you? Any anecdotes you wish to share?

> There may even be room to fit photos of a few of you and your collections.

> And if you have any leads on rubber duck info I'd love to hear that too!
