NOPE they don't look like they came from the same maker... They are a different kind of vinyl and the paint jobs are far superior. They are well worth the extra cost. Whether they eventually come to the US is anyone's guess, but all the markings are in English... There is nothing in German on the packaging... The packaging is all different too. They are all stamped "Out of the Blue" (is that right) on the bottom. The only reason you may think they are similar is the rectangle on the chest is a crown on these... BUT remember that the Rubba Ducks have a crown stamped on the bottom, so some duck maker in China or wherever they are, is watching these tiny details. Inquiring minds will not be disappointed!!!
