I started collecting "ducks" around July of 2001. My friend Tia and I had decided to go to the mall for her birthday. At the mall we went into the DollarTree, and I found this two cute little terry cloth duckies that had suction cups on them so you could stick them on your shower, etc. Well. they came home and lived on my bathroom mirror, and I really didn't think much about them until one day i was brushing my teeth and thinking about how i could re-do my bathroom, and then it hit me...DUCKS!!! I would say that was it for me. My first rubber ducks came within the first two weeks of my bright idea, and I have never looked back.
i would say that my favorite(s) are what I like to call my "Rock N Roll" ducks. I guess you could say I like the "Bad Ducks". In this I include my Devil ducks, Gray, dead duck, and an assortment of black ducks. I have just discovered Charlotte's "Punk duck" (#736) and I am in LOVE!! I hope to get one asap!
