So, once in a while (more often than I'd like to admit) i get a duck off eBay and either it was packed poorly, or it wasn't properly taken care of, and its head is bent back and squashed. Is there any way for the poor duck to recover? In Jodie Davis's "Rubber Duckie" book, it says to immerse it in hot water, but I don't see any results. How hot? For how long? Has anyone really had this work?
Mostly I consider squashed duckies a loss, but I've got a few uncommon ones that I'd like to restore to better condition for selling/trading. (And I'm starting to only want to buy from people who ship their ducks in boxes, not envelopes!)
