Thank you Charlotte for making the announcement. As she knows, it was a long birth with many false starts--and "No's"--but ulitmately found its way to the right publisher and is oh so worth it. Running Press did a fabulous job.

We have just started the publicity buzz and already Good Morning Atlanta wants me on the news and a radio newswire is interviewing me I think today. I got so much publicity without even trying when I was on The Incurable Collector that I expect this to build. And since then I've won awards as a television host, so I should do rubber duckies proud as diplomat.

Which reminds me to grab the cowboy duck to take with me on the Oregon Trail trip next week. It's for my TV show and we're donning pioneer dresses for part of it as we ride horses and Conestoga wagons retracing the footsteps of our foremothers. Don't know why I haven't been doing it all along because I take ducks everywhere, but now I'm going to sneak one in to each episode. Hopefully people will start looking for the duckie.

Best rubber duckie sunshine wishes to everyone,

Jodie Davis

P.S. I have three cowboy ducks and an Indian. No pioneer women quilters though. Will have to do something about that ;)
