I don't see it discouraging anyone - most people like my ducks and find the whole thing amazing and amusing. Many admire me for finding such an unusual thing to collect. Only a few actually think I've gone off my rocker.
Some people might just shake their heads and say we're all crazy, but I say it's fun to be crazy in such good company!
BTW, my glow in the dark ducks got a good workout last week - I put them all out in the living room to keep me company during the blackout! See, duckies are very useful critters!
