Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked Wink Shocked Shocked
And they thought Duckfest was off the wall.
Pittsburgh recently was home to the Anthrocon: the convention of people who like the idea of animals with human characteristics. Folks in full animal costume or just ears and tails, or people who just like the idea. Has anyone else heard of this? I guess as a child I would have enjoyed a full bird suit, and I have to respect a grown adult to want to do this sort of thing. But wow! I just love hearing about folks who are into things even more outrageous than collecting hundreds of rubber duckies!
I know this is wildly off-topic, but I wanted to spread the news. Anyone out there wearing a full duckie outfit right now?

Howdy! I'm new to Duckplanet and decided to check out what other crazy stuff is going on. I see you posted this topic from like years ago, but I will step forward and say I have a full duck costume. It's hard to type with four fuzzy fingers, so no, I'm not wearing it right now, but I got some very funny pictures this weekend out near a big pond in the mountains (there's even some where I got in the water). The suit is a Daffy Duck copy, but it looks awesome and is fun to wear.

You mentioned Anthrocon...it's becoming huge (more than 3,000 people went this year and more than 600 costumes!). There are a few ducks that go, but they are a rare breed amongst furries. Anyway, I thought it would be fun to reply to your question, and if you ever had the desire to wear a full duck costume, do it! It's fun and very different than what most people would expect! Besides, if you went to a Halloween costume party, you'd be sure to win, or at least get all the attention! You can find good looking costumes for under $300. The one I bought is made by a company from Peru, and they did an excellent job. I don't know about the costume quality from the vast number of Chinese companies, but you can find some Donald Duck imitations for under $200. Can you tell I'm a total nerd?  Wink  Hope I don't freek you out too badly  Tongue  ~Kamo

Kamo, I am so sorry I didn't respond to your message earlier.
I guess anyone who digs wearing a duck suit would be a feathery, not a furry, huh? Enjoy your fun.

Where as I'm not sure if I would be nearly as cute in a duck outfit, I now have an urge to make myself a little yellow feathery tail and some flipper slippers to go with my yellow skirt and shirt, and orange lipstick Tongue

I do however have 3 pairs of cat ears (2 headbands and 1 set of clip in's) and 10 different fox tails. I have a whole rainbow. Goes with my whole OCD urge to color coordinate, I had to make sure I had a tailt o match every color just incase I felt like wearing one Tongue

I included a picture of my yellow and my orange tails in my duckie collection album on my Facebook. hehe^.^
